Veterinary Dentistry
Did you know most pets have signs of dental disease by age 3?
Dental health is a critical component of your pet’s overall health. Issues like gum disease and tooth decay can lead to significant discomfort and affect your pet's ability to eat properly. At our clinic, we emphasize the importance of regular dental check-ups as part of a comprehensive health routine. By catching dental issues early and addressing them promptly, we help maintain not only your pet’s dental health but also their happiness and quality of life.
We will evaluate your pet’s dental health during their exam, and we may recommend a dental cleaning under anesthesia. When your pet has their teeth cleaned under anesthesia we can scale the tartar off the teeth, probe the gum line for pockets, and check for fractured or loose teeth, oral masses, and other abnormalities. We also have dental x-rays to evaluate for diseases below the gum line like tooth root abscesses, bone loss, fractured tooth roots, and further, evaluate missing teeth below the gum line. If you are interested in having your pet’s teeth evaluated, please call us today to schedule an exam! This is very similar to what we experience when we go to the dentist ourselves!
